ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE
Uganda’s Gender Equity and Research Alliance (GERA) is a network of multi-disciplinary researchers from across the country. We all share a passion for seeing gender equity demonstrated at the heart of our research, our institutional policies and our institutional practices. The alliance was conceived in 2018 at the Uganda National Dialogue on Equitable Research Systems at which a range of national and regional bodies were represented to deliberate on how to enable such an equitable research system in Uganda.
Membership of GERA is open to any university or research institution in Uganda, as well as individual researchers and others with an interest in gender equity in research.
