Filliam Efiti
Deputy Regional Coordinator - Eastern region
Efiti Filliam is deputy regional coordinator for east region.
He is a senior lecturer in the School of Media Technology, LivingStone International University, Mbale. Filliam is a PhD student in his final year pursuing Doctor of philosophy in Media and Communications of Kisii University Kenya. He holds MA in International Journalism, Cert. Educ., and Bachelor of Arts in International Journalism of Belarus University, Minsk. Currently, he serves in various academic and administrative positions as: Dean of School of Media Technology; Chairman of Academic Staff Association; Gender and Community Engagement program Coordinator and the Chairman of COVID 19 Task Force of the university. Filliam is engaged member of Talloires Network of Engaged Universities. This association is a global coalition of 417 universities which aim to foster higher education civic engagement, and is based in Tuffs University, USA. Filliam actively embeds civic engagement in his teaching and research. He is the Founder of Community Engagement Program at the University partnering with the community groups, institutions, associations, organisations and individuals to mention St Monica University Cameroon and University of Cape Town, South Africa. Filliam aggressively entrenches the society in his community engagement program, teaching and research, and actively engages students in particularly social research.
